Have you ever looked at your voting ballot and thought "What do these people even do?" That is why I'm excited to introduce you to our guest of this episode!

It doesn't take long to realize the passion Mary DeGenaro has for the our country and state's legal processes! She has served as a public servant for over 15 years and is a natural teacher and mentor! She has served as both a 7th District Court of Appeals Judge and well as on the Ohio State Supreme Court and is currently on the ballot again!

I asked her right off the bat "What does the Court of Appeals even do?" along with some other questions, such as "Do you think the Constitution is replaceable?",  "Why did you choose such a detailed tedious position of law" and more!

We discuss the balance of power and what is so special about our Constitution compared to the former Soviet Union and other countries. What protects our freedom? How does the Judicial Process work? Does one vote really count? What does the Supreme Court do? Why do we have jury duty? And SO MUCH MORE!

When asked about some of her favorite local places, she cited our famous Mill Creek Park as well as the local Poland Woods walking and nature trails. She spoke highly of the cigar store and club that her husband is co-owner of, as well as Woodland Cellars in Hubbard and Ohio Flame Fire Pits in Columbiana!
